I just love that name. The Godfearing Snakehandlers were at the Ironhorse (here) a couple of weekends ago. Not only do they have a cool name, but they have a couple of town council members in the band. How many towns can make that claim. That’s the town manager in the orange shirt and madras bermuda shorts. I guess when you’re the town manager and play in a band with a cool name you can wear whatever you want.

I was shooting condominiums yesterday. A couple of the buildings were still under construction and neither the elevators or the air conditioning were turned on. Naturally we were shooting on the top floor. I made about a bazillion trips up and down this stairwell. Guess I can cancel my stress test.

I was on my way back from lunch and had just turned into the driveway when this fellow decided to take the express to the other end. Riding is beter than hopping any day.

I was out riding around looking for a blog photo the other day. It was getting late and I didn’t have anything I was particularly happy about (though that’s never stopped me posting a photo before). So I rode over to my “can’t find a photo anywhere else and the day is getting late” standby, the dairy farm. Joel was riding his combine, bringing in the wheat; or it could have been alfalfa. I can’t tell the difference. He was on his cel phone, probably calling his wife to say he was hungry, because she showed up a short while later with a bag of food.

I got a call out of the blue last week from a man who said he had three acres of sunflowers and wanted to know if I could use them for any photography. I couldn’t think of anything off the top of my head. I’m not really a nature photographer. I need something going on. But I thought, “how often do you get to see three acres of sunflowers”, so yesterday I rode out to his house. I tried to photographing the sunflowers, but couldn’t find any inspiration, until his retriever, Gunner, started chasing an imaginary duck through the sunflowers.

Got to put a flag photo up for the 4th.

Ashland Coffee and Tea is next to the Feed and Seed, so after the dog wash I walked over for a cup of coffee. On weekends ACT is the meetingplace, stopping off point, let’s take a breather spot for all the bikers in the area. It’s a huge gathering of flashy, colorful outfits. Just as a personal observation, if you have a beer gut, spandex may not be the look for you. This gentleman, who was taking a breather and didn’t have a gut, was 76. Good to see someone that age still gettin’ it on.
