This lone tree sits in the middle of a field of spring wheat. It’s been there since long before we lived here. I guess when they first plowed the field, they couldn’t bring themselves to cut it down.

My wife planted this pussywillow a couple of years ago to help hide a propane tank. I’ve been watching it transform itself over the last couple of weeks. It’s pretty easy to see how it got its name since in the beginning it really does feel like cat fur.
