Fishing

I opened the front door yesterday morning to get the paper and spotted my neighbor Kirk doing some flyfishing on the pond. He works shift work and had just gotten home. He said he was waiting for his wife to wake up so he wouldn’t wake her when he went to bed. Not sure that makes sense. I do know I wouldn’t enjoy shift work, but he loves it.

Fertilizer

One of the disadvantages of living in the country is getting stuck behind farm machinery as it moves from one field to another. On the other hand, it could be an advantage because it forces you to slow down. I’m not sure what this thing does. I think it fertilizes the field. For some reason, whenever I see it, I’m reminded of a granddaddy longlegs.
